 Friends of St Bart’s

About

St Bartholomew’s has been part of the life of Long Benton for generations. It is a place of worship, prayer, celebration, remembrance and community.

Many people who do not come to church every week still feel a strong connection with St Bart’s. Perhaps you were baptised or married here. Perhaps your family has worshipped here in the past. Perhaps you value the church building, the churchyard, the music, the welcome, or simply the presence of a Christian church at the heart of the community.

Friends of St Bart’s is a way of supporting the church and helping to secure its future.

How do the Friends help?

Most Friends give a small regular amount each month. Even a modest monthly gift makes a real difference when given regularly.

Your support helps with things such as:

  • caring for the church building and grounds;

  • keeping the church open, welcoming and well maintained;

  • supporting worship, music and special services;

  • helping the church serve the local community;

  • sustaining the ministry of St Bart’s for future generations.

Some Friends also help in other ways, by volunteering time, offering practical skills, supporting events, helping with fundraising, or remembering the church in their will.

How do I join?

You can become a Friend by completing a simple form and setting up a regular donation.

Please contact the church for details, or speak to a member of the clergy, churchwardens or PCC.

You can also support St Bart’s through a one-off gift, by volunteering, or by remembering the church in your will.
