About the MU

Mothers’ Union is a women-led, international Christian movement dedicated to ending poverty, violence and social injustice in communities in the UK and around the world.

Active for 150 years, with over 4 million members in approximately 84 countries, we work with people of all faiths and none, transforming lives, strengthening families and communities, and advocating for meaningful change.

Rooted in kindness, faith and compassionate action, we strive to create a better future where everyone has the opportunity and resources to thrive. â€‹â€‹

Our Branch

The Mothers’ Union is an active and welcoming part of our church community. Rooted in prayer and committed to practical action, our group meets once a month for fellowship, worship, and learning together.

We know that not everyone is able to attend gatherings in person, so members also meet and support one another from home. Whether gathered in the parish hall or connected through prayer and conversation at a distance, our Mothers’ Union community remains united in purpose and friendship.

Our branch is deeply engaged in the Mothers’ Union’s wider mission: promoting social justice, supporting families, and advocating for the wellbeing of women and children. Through fundraising and hands-on projects, our members work to make a real and lasting difference.

If you’d like to know more, come along to one of our monthly meetings or speak to any of our members. You’ll receive a warm welcome.
