About the event
Our next Spotlight evening turns to one of the richest and most beloved books in the New Testament: The Gospel of St Luke.
Luke tells the story of Jesus with an eye for detail, a heart for outsiders, and a deep sense that God is doing something new in the world. We’ll explore what makes Luke distinctive, from the annunciation and nativity to parables like the Good Samaritan and the Prodigal Son, from meals with sinners to the road to Emmaus. Why does Luke keep returning to themes of mercy, prayer, the Holy Spirit, and the joyful reversal of fortunes? And how does Luke’s portrait of Jesus shape the way we understand discipleship, justice, and the life of the Church today?
Join us for an engaging evening of discussion, reflection, and insight , in the same open and informal style as our We Believe Lent course. Bring your curiosity and your questions, or send them to Fr Ben in advance.
