On the Tuesday morning, our Junior Church pilgrims departed with a blessing (and a soaking) on their journey to Seahouses.
After settling in at the Youth Hostel, we walked into Seahouses and walked along the beach. There we made cairns out of stones, and a few brave people went into the sea. There were some regrets!
Back at the hostel, after a shower, we all enjoyed fish and chips followed by crafts and games, and a film.
On The Wednesday we got up to a cooked breakfast, and got back in the minibus headed to Holy Island. We had a fabulous day exploring the ruins of the Priory, and learning about St Aidan and St Cuthbert. We made prayer fish at the parish church, and Fr Ben led us in a pilgrimage Eucharist. That evening we had pasta for dinner and decorated our squares for the pilgrimage banner. There was also a surprise Murder Mystery devised by Nathan!
On Thursday it was time to head home.
The weather was amazing throughout and we all had a thoroughly good time.
